Their lavish treatments include free meals and finger foods, sports, recreation facilities and even day-and-night drop services for the female employees during their big sale days.

According to a spokesperson of Flipkart, the facilities which are given to Flipkart’s employees include masseuse on call and arrangements to take rest in office itself apart from 24X7 functional offices and emergency rooms to cope-up during the big sale days. Mr. Saurabh Chaudhary (Category Head – Hardware & Sanitary Fittings) at Snapdeal also said that he puts in 10 to 11 work hours during the category promotion days. On the other hand, during offseason, there are flexible work hours. Also at Snapdeal, the top performers are selected from all the teams for a reward and recognition programs every Diwali.

Apart from this, these ecommerce players are also very good at giving good appraisals to their staff. Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal and Myntra have recently concluded their annual-sale events while Paytm has planned it in this month end. Mr. Amit Sinha – the Vice President of Paytm said, “We have launched a special reward program for the teams who are working on special sales. Under this, the top performers are rewarded with a cash prize every month.” According to him, they also send the best performers overseas for the holidays. Moon-shot bonuses are also given to the staff.

It is thus clearly known that a majority of ecommerce brands consider their manpower to be the real driving force and that’s why, rewarding them with perks is the best thing to keep them motivated and loyal to the company.
